Michael Ciravolo

Michael Ciravolo joined the NYPD in 1968 as a Police Trainee. As a Patrol Officer he was assigned to the 34th Precinct in Washington Heights. His next assignment took him to the 42nd Precinct in the South Bronx where he was chosen to work in the Anti Crime team. After making over 350 arrests in that assignment. He was selected to join the elite Street Crime Unit which was a plain clothes unit where he remained active as a decoy officer as well as being responsible for taking illegal guns off the street, earning him his next assignment in The Organized Crime Control Bureau where he worked in sensitive undercover assignments.

Michael has led countless homicide investigations over his illustrious career as well as many other notable cases. In 1992 Michael retired from the NYPD and joined Beau Dietl and Associates serving as President where he coordinated hundreds of high profile and news worthy investigations.

Mr. Ciravolo always passionate about solving crimes and helping clients in need, chose to remain with BDA, now serving as Chief Investigator. He is doing what he loves to do.

In 1985 he earned his promotion to Sergeant and after two years he was selected to work in the Detective Bureau. In the Bureau his first assignment was as second in command in the 104 Sqd in Ridgewood Queens. He was later chosen to be the Commanding Officer of the Crimes Against Senior Citizens Squad in Queens. It was during this time that Ciravolo was selected by The Chief of Detectives to lead the Zodiac Task Force investigating an infamous serial killer that terrorized NYC in the Spring of 1990. Ciravolo was later promoted to Lieutenant while he was Commanding Officer of the 115 Detective Squad in Jackson Heights Queens.
