As the President and Chief Operating Officer of Beau Dietl and Associates, Michael Ruggiero brings a wealth of experience from a prominent law enforcement career. His journey began as a correction officer in Sing Sing prison, where he earned a reputation in the infamous “B” Block. Quickly rising through the ranks, he became an investigator on the prestigious NYS Corrections Escape and Absconder unit.
Transitioning to the NYPD, Mike served in various capacities, including roles as an officer, detective (in the original Violent Felony Squad), anti-crime sergeant, and detective sergeant squad commander. His dedication to law enforcement led to a notable career, marked by significant awards and achievements.
Following his retirement from the NYPD, Mike took on the role of adjunct professor at CUNY in the Law and Police Science Department at John Jay College. In this capacity, he shared his expertise, teaching criminal investigations and other courses related to law and police science. Simultaneously, he worked as a background investigator for several federal law enforcement agencies, including two under the Department of Justice.
Since joining Beau Dietl and Associates in 2016, Mike has played pivotal roles, initially serving as Chief Investigator and subsequently as Chief Operating Officer. In 2021, he reached the pinnacle of his career within the company, assuming the position of President. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping the continued success and growth of the organization.
Mike holds a notable educational background, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, magna cum laude, from Adelphi University, a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from John Jay College, and an MBA from The Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary. His commitment to continuous learning reflects his dedication to personal and professional development.
