Sean serves as the Vice President of Security Operations & Special Projects for Beau Dietl & Associates, a versatile role supporting various aspects of the organization from senior management and long-term strategy to day-to-day operations, and he is the lead for our armed Executive Protection Division.
Prior to Beau Dietl & Associates Sean served a global career in the Department of Defense. Primarily, he is a retired U.S. Marine (22+ years) having been both an enlisted Marine and an officer, with specialties in Infantry, Military Police, as a Foreign Security Force Advisor, and as an Operations Officer. After the Marine Corps, he worked as a private military contractor for U.S. Special Operations Command in Afghanistan alongside Afghanistan’s most elite special operations unit. He culminated his military career with a tour as a federal employee for the Department of the Army as the Director of Plans, Training, Mobility and Security for Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, NY – the same military base where he started his journey decades prior by enlisting in the Marines.
Sean has experiences ranging from combat operations, to humanitarian assistance operations, to peacekeeping operations, to executive protection, and has he been involved in crisis responses plans, such as non-combatant evacuation of personnel and countering weapons of mass destruction. Sean’s experiences, both professional and personal, span 50+ countries and most of the U.S. Sean volunteers as a Mentee for American Corporate Partners assisting veterans with their transition from military service to their next careers, and he is dedicated to various efforts associated with the tragic aftermath of the War in Afghanistan, a war which he served in for a combined three and a half years as both a Marine and as a contractor.
He has a BA in Sociology/Criminology from Manhattan College, an MBA from Hawaii Pacific University, he completed University of California’s Private Investigator Course, and among countless other military courses and schools he is a graduate of Marine Corps University’s Command & Staff College.
